L- The font on the magazine is a serif font. This is appropriate as it ties in with the audience that Q magazine is aimed at, as well as this the font helps to create the appearance of a more mature magazine. This also helps to create the image that Q magazine desires. The colour scheme is used throughout the magazine; the colour scheme is more prominent on main feature double page spread in the magazine, such as the one shown with lady gaga. The colour scheme is red, black and white. The colour scheme is often seen in various music magazines however in different proportions. In Q magazine the colour that is largely used is white. White has connotations of purity, it also helps to add sophistication to the magazine as well as give it a modern fresh look. The dominant colour of the page is red, the red L is placed across the writing in the article,  the big red L gives a more interesting element to the article, as well as this the bight red draws the readers attention to the article and makes it more appealing. Combined with the image on the left we as a reader know that the L is linked to the ‘Lady’ part of lady gaga. At the top right of the page it says lady gaga. ‘Lady’ is done in italics; this gives it a more feminine appearance, this links to the meaning of lady. However ‘Gaga’ is in bigger spaced out font. This makes it stand out and is a more interesting way of presenting the artists stage name. The image fills the whole left page and is also in black and white, black and white images have connotations of age. However this is juxtaposed with lady gaga herself as she is far from traditional as seen in the image shown. Lady gaga has a quite a sultry look straight at the camera. This is a quite seductive image. The Q magazine logo is located at the bottom right corner of the right page, alongside the page number. The Q magazine logo shows that they are proud of the magazine. As well as this the page number makes it easier for the reader to find the article the reader is interested in.

I- This is a double page spread from Q magazine; Q magazine is published by Bauer Media Group. It is a monthly UK magazine that mainly covers the music genre of rock/pop. Within the magazine you can expect to find things such as film reviews, new song realises, live concert reviews, band interviews and articles.
I- The ideology of a music magazine is to cover new and popular music. Lady gaga is an example of this; she is a renound artist within the pop world and has been compared to the likes of Madonna despite her career only starting a few years ago. Lady gaga is quickly becoming an iconic figure in pop music. An interview with the likes of lady gaga is likely to be the main feature of the magazine as she is a artist known worldwide and therefore has a large fan basis. As well as this she is known for been a quirky but friendly individual. This in itself suggests a lively article. The rest of the magazine will be filled with smaller articles about various other artists.
A-               Q magazine is mostly aimed towards males although it doesn’t fully exclude females as the magazine features a range of quality artists both male and female, although once again as in NME the colour scheme is more aggressive and masculine. Q magazine is a more mature magazine and even the font suggests this. Q magazines audience is between the ages of 25-40. In this article it could be suggested that the audience may also be predominantly Lady gaga fans. As well as fans of the music genre in general.

R-The double page spread in it self has to be representative of the magazine. The double page spread follows the colour scheme that runs through out, by doing so Q magazine represents itself in a professional manor and it creates continuity through out the magazine and therefore professionalism throughout the magazine. The serif font also gives the impression of maturity. The artist featured in the magazine is also a representation of the magazine as the artist featured is generally to a specific music genre. Lady gaga is an example of the genre Q magazine is aimed at (pop).
