Pricing and Publishing

My magazine will be priced between £2.00-£4.00, this is because the publishers would need to make a profit in order for the magazine to be successful and publish future magazines. The price will not be over four pound and my target audience is generally young adults/ teenagers. Teenagers are often not in a full time work and earning minimum wage and under. Young adults are more likely to have some form of work then teenagers, however the economy is bad an more often then not they are only earning minimum wage for their age bracket. As well as this magazines are considered a luxury not a necessity also making people less likely to part with there money in a recession. My magazine will be a Monthly magazine as on average most music magazines are published on a monthly basis. This means more competition but i will have a larger selection of content to fill my magazine with, and well as this it allows you to price the magazine higher as people will be more then likely to part with there money on a luxury item once a month rather then every week.
